AERONOVA

AERONOVA SYSTEMS SRL — COOKIE POLICY

Effective Date: [To be confirmed] | Last Updated: March 2026

SECTION 1 — WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your login session or preferences, so you do not have to re-enter information each time.

SECTION 2 — COOKIES WE USE — STRICTLY NECESSARY ONLY

AeroNova uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), social media cookies, or any third-party marketing cookies of any kind.

The following strictly necessary cookies are set by the Platform:

  • Cookie: __session (and related Clerk authentication cookies including __client_uat)
    Provider: Clerk, Inc. (authentication provider)
Purpose: Maintains the authenticated user session. Required for login functionality and secure access to the Platform. Without this cookie, users cannot log in or maintain their authenticated session across page loads.
Duration: Session (expires on browser close) or up to 7 days for persistent sessions.
  • Cookie: aeronova_cookie_consent_v1
    Provider: AeroNova
Purpose: Records whether the user has acknowledged the cookie notice. Prevents the consent banner from appearing on every page visit.
    Duration: 12 months.

SECTION 3 — WHY THESE COOKIES ARE STRICTLY NECESSARY

The cookies listed above are classified as strictly necessary under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC) because they are essential for providing the service explicitly requested by the user — namely, secure authenticated access to the AeroNova Platform. Under the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. We inform you of their use for transparency.

SECTION 4 — COOKIES WE DO NOT USE

AeroNova does not use:

  • Analytics or performance cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar).
  • Advertising, targeting, or retargeting cookies.
  • Social media cookies or plug-ins.
  • Third-party tracking cookies of any kind.
  • Cookies that track user behaviour across websites for any purpose.
  • Cookies for profiling, personalised advertising, or behavioural targeting.
  • Any non-essential cookies beyond those listed in Section 2.

SECTION 5 — HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

Important: Disabling or blocking the Clerk authentication cookie (__session) will prevent you from logging in or using any authenticated features of the Platform. Disabling the consent cookie (aeronova_cookie_consent_v1) will cause the cookie notice to reappear on each visit but will not otherwise affect Platform functionality.

SECTION 6 — THIRD-PARTY COOKIES FROM CLERK

When you access the sign-in or sign-up pages, Clerk, Inc. (our authentication provider) sets authentication cookies necessary for the login process, including security tokens and session identifiers. These are strictly necessary for secure authentication. Clerk's privacy practices are available at clerk.com/legal/privacy.

SECTION 7 — CONSENT

Under the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. We display a cookie notice for transparency. By clicking Accept on the cookie banner or by continuing to use the Platform after seeing the notice, you acknowledge our use of strictly necessary cookies as described in this policy.

SECTION 8 — CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY

If we introduce any new categories of cookies, we will update this policy, implement appropriate consent mechanisms, and provide at least thirty (30) days' advance notice to registered users by email. Non-material changes may be made without notice.
